The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, says he has been in talks with the Nigeria Salaries and Wages Commission to regularise the salaries of paramilitary officers to be on a par with the personnel of the Nigeria Police Force. He also said like the military, the Federal Government was considering the establishment of a pension board for personnel of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and the Nigeria Correctional Service. According to him, the paramilitary personnel deserve an improvement in their salaries as well as a pension board, due to the hazards involved in their duties. The Director of Press,  minister of Interior, Ajibola Afonja, in a statement on Tuesday, quoted the minister as saying this during an interview on Human Rights Radio in Abuja.

American couple escapes death penalty after pleading guilty to maltreating Ugandan boy

A young woman has reportedly d!ed during a s3x r0mp with her boyfriend in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital. It was gathered that the incident happened at a guest house situated at Temidire community, Offa Garage area of Ilorin on Monday, October 30, 2023. Members of the community claimed that the man, who owns a barber’s shop, was under the influence of drugs with the aim of impressing his girlfriend before things took a turn for the worse, the Nigerian Tribune reported.  “The girl got tired during the m@ting and later gave up the ghost,” a source told the publication The source said that the man raised the alarm when the lady reportedly became unconscious and thus attracted workers of the guest house.  The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was confirmed d£ad.
